Things getting me down

I really should know better than to pronounce on here that I am going to do things…..it is like a commentator’s curse for me. (A la my hero, Murray Walker, who countless times has sent formula one drivers into early race retirement via his proclamations of how well they are doing.) Declaring that I was going to write more seems to have resulted in an unprecedented low output.

Actually the last couple of weeks have been pretty crappy. Two of the babies at Liver Families died within just over a week. Baby Dillon was too sick to be transplanted, and baby Jackson had lots of complications following his transplant. This double tragedy has hit our community hard, and what the families are going through…..

Death seems to have been in my face during the last few weeks, and picking a memorial stone for Mum has also been difficult.

I have been distracting myself with my newly learned skill of Texas Holdem Poker….betting hundreds of pretend dollars on the turn of a card. Loads of fun. Long way to go before I become a virtual millionaire though!
